Designer’s words: Limited-edition screen print calendar commissioned by Fly. The Big F is made from 8 boxes, each divided into 28 boxes — one for each day in February.

Edible Calendar

website: via designboom, designer: Dmitry Kutlayev, Russia

The sweetest calendar at least in this round-up. It’s more than recyclable. It’s two-in-one, you don’t have buy a bar of chocolate. Moreover you control your daily chocolate consumption.

Napkins Calendar

Scratch calendar

website: Agustin Zea for Mr. Tom Design

You scratch off every passed day, a bit as if you were about to win something in a scratch card lottery. Seems nice to be scratching off the days left before your holidays. Scratching off your holiday days – not necessarily.

An office calendar made out of wood entitled T.I.M., Translucence Towering Minimize. Created by Qaa’im Goodwin, a young American designer.

Matches Calendar

website: Yurko Gutsulyak Portfolio

After the designer: The idea was to create as unique a calendar so that the process of its presenting would become an outstanding event. Alongside with this, it was important to expose the idea of “energy”, as it is predetermined by the name and logo of the company. Each page is a month and it looks like a comb made of matches that correspond to the days. The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe.

Moon Calendar

After the designer (Hello from Vik): Here’s a quick and easy way to keep tip top shape this year. Just peel the little variety sticker from every apple you it and affix it to a square. Keep it interesting…

After the desiger: The web’s big question ” What are you doing right now? ” is incredibly useful for tracking your daily activity. This is a calendar where you can write your daily “status”.
It simply asks the question, “What are you doing Today?” And you are invited to answer it!

The backing is printed either on thick paper or plastic in Helvetica Neue. This calendar is designed and manufactured by Brooklyn, NY Bubble Calendar LLC.

After the designer: The Chrono-Shredder is a device that reminds us of the preciousness of our lifetime. It represents the passing of time by shredding the days of the year – printed on a paper roll – at a slow constant rate. To shred one day takes 24 hours. There is no “off”-button. As the seconds pass by, the tattered remains of the past pile up under the device…

After the designer: Freshman year, college students are bombarded with flyers and materials that get thrown away or clutter up their dorm rooms. The important information is discarded along with everything else. The intent of this project was to create a “take-away” that the student would hold on to, and would double as a functioning calendar as well as decoration or entertainment. The cube unfolds endlessly, making it an irresistible toy to fidget with while studying.

After the designer: Ink Calendar” make use the timed pace of the ink spreading on the paper to indicate time.
The ink is absorbed slowly, and the numbers in the calendar are “printed” daily. One a day, they are filled with ink until the end of the month. A calendar self-updated, which enhances the perception of time passing and not only signaling it. The ink colors are based on a spectrum, which relate to a “color temperature scale”, each month having a color related to our perception of the whether on that month. The colors range from dark blue in December to, three shades of green in spring or oranges, red in the summer.
